Our board is proactively coming up with new ways to connect our students to the business
leaders of the Central Valley. We are actively searching for volunteers to speak to
our scholarship awardees and guide them on various topics, especially business related
ones. If you would like to get involved with our future leaders of tomorrow, please
reach out to us on our social media platforms.

Corks & Forks (Fall)
Our annual Corks and Forks fundraiser brings local wineries, breweries, and cuisine
to campus. Guests are able to enjoy a range of wines and beers, try their hand at
Bulldog Plush Toy raffle, win silent auction prizes, and more; all the fun to be had
while donating towards the success of our students. Typically held at the Phebe Conley
Art Gallery, in 2020 Corks and Forks made its first live streamed debut where we showcased
local businesses to attendees in town and now included those who moved a little farther
from home. Moving forward, the combined in-person and streamed event will be able
to connect our Alumni and local friends to the roots of the Central Valley and to
pay success forward in supporting our students, the aspiring movers and shakers.
Golf Tournament (Spring)
Golf and business go hand in hand, so what better way to introduce our students to
the business culture than a Golf Tournament to connect our students with leaders in
the community and alumni. Local vendors sponsor food, beverages, and prizes at exclusive
holes on the course. Whether it is sharing golf tips, business tips, or some good
laughs, this event welcomes all levels of golfers. Our board hasn’t quite put together
the virtual experience for this yet, but we are really looking forward to our in-person
event in the Spring semester.
Other Events
There are new and exciting events coming soon that we will be announcing through our
social media channels, so be sure to stay tuned in. There is also a donation link
that can be accessed at any time on our Instagram page, follow the page and watch
out for exciting news and a chance to enter to win one of our many awesome prizes.
Participants could win an exclusive ticket to our annual Corks and Forks, a golfer’s
ticket in our Golf Tournament, and more! Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for your
chance to win or reach out to us with any questions.
By teaching the fundamentals of networking through business socials, connecting students
to top leaders in the Central Valley business world, and raising funds to aid in their
educational goals, we are able to combine all the fun aspects of learning and business!
These events allow us to award scholarship money to passionate students who share
their heartwarming stories of where they have been and where they are determined to
succeed in the future. Our team also strives to re-connect graduated students back
to their alma mater to continue to foster their expertise they have learned beyond
the doors of the Craig School of Business and connect with those following in their
footsteps.

Alumni and Friends of the Craig School of Business Scholarship
2021 proved how incredibly generous our Central Valley community—near and far—really
is and how motivated they are to support our business students. In 2022, we were able
to award just under $11,400 in scholarship funds distributed to 7 students based on
their moving stories and passionate aspirations. Our goal is to continue to grow not
only in ways to financially support the students, but also to facilitate business
mentorships or internships and grow the Central Valley one determined class at a time.
